CHAIRPERSON OPEN ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR OFFICERS ORGANIZED BY OHCHR

            On August 2, B.E. 2564 [2021], Ms. Pornprapai Ganjanarintr, Chairperson, said at the opening of the training programme for the NHRCT Office, organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights during August 2-3, B.E. 2564 [2021].
 
            Ms. Ganjanarintr referred to 5 points of the NHRCT’s policy platform, namely (1) to focus on the human rights protection with speed and fairness; (2) to promote a culture of human rights; (3) to build and support the cooperation with network organizations both domestically and internationally; (4) to ensure roles of the NHRCT at the global level; and (5) to expedite the development of the Office of the NHRCT, aiming at being a high-performance organization with advanced digital technology system and big data management. The programme; therefore, assist in developing staff’s existing capacity and responding their needs.
 
            The programme aimed at providing fundamental knowledge on human rights mechanisms of the United Nations and roles of  national human rights institutions in monitoring human rights situations, particularly the current COVID-19 outbreak and serious human rights situations, such as political demonstration. It also provided technique for fact-finding, monitoring and analysis as well as human rights reporting. The programme also enhanced the opportunity of participants to share their knowledge and comments as well as experiences with experts.
