16 July B.E. 2564 [2021]. Miss Pitikan Sithidej (Commissioner, as the Chairperson of the Board of Steering Committee of Regional Human Rights Centre for Study and Coordination of Ubon Ratchathani University, Asst. Prof. Suchart Setthamalinee (Commissioner), Mr. Boongua Somnuk (Secretary-General of the NHRCT), along with officials of the Office of the NHRCT had online meeting of the Steering Committee of Regional Human Rights Centre for Study and Coordination of Ubon Ratchathani University. The meeting acknowledged a report on overall role and activities of the Centre during July-August, and the implementation guideline of the Centre in the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.
            The Steering Committee also approved  2 projects for implementation of the Centre, namely 1) an academic forum entitled "The Right to Information: Freedom and Liberties of Isan” and 2) a forum entitled “Human Rights in the Midst of COVID-19 Pandemic: Lessons from the Southeast Asia”.
