RESOLUTIONS OF THE FOURTH NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION OF THAILAND (NHRCT) ON PROTECTION AND STANDARDS OF HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION AT THE 32ND MEETING OF B.E. 2564 [2021]

         On July 13, B.E. 2564 [2021], the NHRCT held its 32nd meeting of B.E. 2564 [2021] on the protection and human rights protection standards with complaints scheduled for the meeting as follows.
         - Review of the draft investigation report on a human rights violation as regards the right and liberty of person’s integrity in conjunction with the right to the administration of justice: the case of the protection of human rights defenders and follow-up on a case in which a human rights defender was murdered.
         - Agreed extension of the due dates of investigation as proposed by responsible officers.
         - Consideration of the petition requesting the NHRCT resolution be reviewed as regards a case forwarded to the Speaker of Parliament and the cabinet for further petition to His Majesty the King.
         - Acknowledgment of the NHRCT submission the letter to the Prime Minister and the Chairperson of the National Committee on World Heritage Convention , expressing concern on the government’s proposal to register Kaeng Krachan Forest Complex as a natural world heritage.
         - Consideration of request to allow 3 persons to be expert witnesses in accordance with Clause 4 of the NHRCT Regulation on Criteria for Payment of Allowances and Traveling Expenses of Witnesses Who Provide Comments or Statements B.E. 2561 [2018].
