On 5 July 2021, Ms. Pornprapai Ganjanarintr, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand (NHRCT) and Ms. Pitikan Sithidej, Commissioner, welcomed H.E. Mrs. Helene Budliger Artieda, Ambassador of Switzerland to Thailand and her team, who paid a courtesy call on the occasion of being newly appointed as a Commission via an online platform.  
          The discussion entailed the issues related to human rights situations in Thailand, such as business and human rights, the situation in the deep south, draft bills under the government’s consideration that might affect rights and liberties, including the law on freedom of expression. Both sides expressed satisfaction on good relations and dynamic cooperation with a view to enhance further academic cooperation and exchange of experts’ opinions.
