Ms. Sayamol Kaiyoorawong and Ms. Preeda Kongpaen, National Human Rights Commissioners, together with Prof. Emeritus Surichai Wankaew and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poom Moolsilpa from Reconciliation Committee observed the situation of demonstration in front of the Government House and other areas in Bangkok where a number of political rallies were organized. The NHRCT and the Reconciliation Committee joined hands to observe and monitor the situations of human rights of political rallies yesterday. They observed whether the management of assemblies by government officers was consistent with human rights standards, whether the methods they used were in accordance with the principle of necessity and proportionality and whether the demonstration went on peacefully.
