The Office of National Human Rights Commission of Thailand has organized the
meeting for policy cooperation related to human rights with the institutions of
education in the central region

11 March, 2015, the Network Cooperation Division, the Human Rights Promotion and Networking Coordination Bureau, the Office of National Human Rights Commission of Thailand (NHRCT), has hosted the meeting for policy cooperation on human rights with the central institutions of education in the central region (the meeting for MOU preparation) at the Garden Cliff Resort & Spa, Pattaya, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. The meeting was composed of participants from 10 institutions of education attended which were Burapha University, Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University, Thepsatri Rajabhat University, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, Rajanagarindra Rajabhat University, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University and Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University.

Mr. Boonkue Somnuek, the NHRCT office’s adviser of NHRCT opened the meeting and explained the role of NHRCT office on rights and freedom protection, as well as petition procedures.

In addition, the meeting was aimed to understand, explore human rights cooperation between the NHRCT and the central institutions of education in the central region and consider the draft MOU on Human Rights Cooperation. It was expected that the MOU would be mutually concluded by May, while the MOU between the NHRCT and the northern institutions of education has been already signed in April.
